Vineyard Vines Shep Shirt

A Fine Looking Sweatshirt

Happy Saturday!  For our family, Saturdays are for one thing – college football, and in particular cheering on my husband’s alma mater, Notre Dame {I attend Saint Mary’s College across the street, so the Fighting Irish were also my college football team!}. When we make our family plans for Saturdays {in fall}, we must check the football schedule to see what time the game is on.  Once a fall, we head to a game and it’s always a highlight of our year.  Seeing old friends, visiting campus and attending the game brings back so many awesome memories {as I would say this is where John and I truly fell in love, and Notre Dame just sort of has a naturally magical presence}.

Being a gal who loves style, going to a sporting event does not mean wearing an old t-shirt or sweatshirt.  I like to be comfortable and wear something team related, but I have to add a little style to it – if that makes sense?  The Vineyard Vines Shep Shirt is the perfect mix of comfy, sporty and stylish. Yes, they make team related styles and plenty of cute, non-team affiliated Shep Shirts. Last weekend as I cheered on my favorite team in the stands, you better believe I put on my Notre Dame Shep to represent.

These tops are basically a cute spin on a sweatshirt.  I love a 3/4 zip and the fact you can wear a button down {or is it button up?} shirt under it.  I think it makes for a great sporty/casual look.

I also own a mint green Shep Shirt with the seersucker shoulder detail {that I’ve owned for years}, and I am not exaggerating when I say I wear it once a week.  It’s the perfect go-to item to throw on with jeans to play with the kids and run errands in.  It has held up very well with weekly washing. I do think these run a tad on the small side, so if you’re between sizes I’d size up, or if you want a loser fit.

I have linked current Vineyard Vines Shep Shirts. If you’re a Notre Dame fan, check out their bookstore!
