Are you recovered from the Super Bowl? John and I mentioned last night, we appreciate it getting over around 9 pm so we can get to bed! It is a Sunday night after all. We enjoyed the commercials and the halftime show. Was the halftime show the best over, no. But it was entertaining and planning any major event during these times has to be a challenge. My expectations for everything is lowered.
Now onto one of my favorite sporting events of the year, The Australian Open! Yes, I’m a huge tennis fan {played for many years} and LOVE watching the four major tennis tournaments. In 2010 John and I were fortunate enough to travel to New Zealand and Australia and we planned it around the Australian Open {and the fact it’s the peak of summer down under in January}. It was a really neat event and one of my fondest memories ever. Definitely, a huge item checked off my bucket list.
- This favorite winter boot {pictured above} is now $75 {reg. $120}. They are really comfortable, waterproof, warm and trendy with he combat-type style. They zip up the side for quick on and off.
- We’ve embraced winter more than ever this winter and I need to update some of my winter wear. I didn’t have warm gloves and just got these, they are down-filled and waterproof. They are really amazing and 40% off!
- If you’ve followed along on Instagram stories, you may have seen I did this foot peel. I loved the immediate results but then my feet REALLY started peeling. Like, I have new feet! Really easy and effective. I think the price is great too. It’s better than any pedicure I’ve had at removing dead skin.
- I’ve had a few questions about Thomas’ Brachiosaurus Dinosaur {the thing is HUGE}. This is the exact one we have. It does bring Thomas so much joy and Mr. Dino gets played with daily. SO… if you’re looking to bring another family member into your home, he’s a good choice š
- On Friday, I made a new macaroni and cheese recipe. It was GOOD! I’d make a few tweaks, and I have noted those at the end. Definitely not healthy, but very good AND easy!
Crockpot Macaroni and Cheese
8 oz. macaroni, cooked – I used cavatappi
8 oz. Monterey Jack Cheese, cubed
8 oz. Colby Jack, cubed
8 oz. Velvetta, cubed
1 Cup Milk
1/4 Cup Butter, cubed
Salt and Pepper
- Layer cooked noodles in crockpot, top with half of cheeses and butter, repeat with remaining ingredients
- Pour milk over the mixture
- Cook on low for 3 hours
**Mine turned out a little mushy. I would recommend leaving pasta quite firm {al dente} and check about 2 hours after cooking. I also think my crockpot cooks pretty hot.
Hope your Monday is going well! As always, thank you so much for reading and make it a great day!
