Summer vacation has officially started!! The weather also turned full summer heat so we could dive (literally) into that full summer feel. I hosted my best friend’s family on Friday and had a taco fiesta (amazing margarita recipe below)! We stayed up a little too late catching up but it was worth it. We spent our afternoons and evenings at the pool hanging with friends and had so much fun! It was a great start to the summer!

- I LOVE a pleated midi skirt. I find it one of the easiest items to throw on in my closet. You can wear year round and dress it up with heels and a blouse, or make it really casual with a tee and sneakers. I have a few pleated midi’s but this newest one is my absolute favorite. The fabric is dreamy and incredibly lightweight. No lining is necessary and it flows so beautifully. The waistband is unique (not elastic) with a tie and elevates the skirt just a touch.
- These Spicy Serrano Pineapple Margaritas are amazing! They were the perfect refreshing cocktail to accompany a taco bar on a warm evening. I made the pitcher version and doubled the batch. I could have even made a larger batch! I didn’t add any sugar or sweetener and used pineapple juice instead of fresh pineapple and thought they were perfect. The roasted serrano pepper was the secret! YUM!
- Every time I post a picture wearing my belt I get a question about it. Yes, it is a designer belt by Ferragamo. If you’ve followed me for a while you know I love to mix high and low fashion. Most of my high-end items are accessories as I can wear them multiple times a week with many different outfits. I’ve had this belt for a few years and it’s the ONLY belt I wear. It’s reversible (black and brown) so it’s all I really need in the belt category to make the splurge worth it. The Italian leather has held up beautifully and I love how it gives a polished look no matter what I pair with it. This belt comes one size and you cut it to size (kind of scary, but kind of neat too!).
- If you don’t have one of these candle lighters, add it to your amazon cart. It seems silly to get joy out of lighting a candle, but it happens with this handy tool!
