The New Year’s Jumpsuit

Guess what?!  We are going out for New Years Eve this year!!  I don’t think I’ve been out on New Years for over ten years.  For the most part, I think it’s an overrated night to go out.  It’s always busy and getting rides home can be a major headache. Why not just stay home?  BUT, this year, we are doing it!  A fancy dinner with two couples is just my speed.  Of course, what’s more important than the right outfit?!

I had an idea in my mind of what I wanted.  When that happens to me, I get stuck on it.  I wanted something in this metallic fabric that is very popular these days.  Sparkly and shiny seemed just right for New Years. And then there is the jumpsuit style instead of a dress or skirt.  I LOVE a romper/jumpsuit, whatever you want to call it.  I think they are really comfy and easy to wear when you find the right one.  This is the right one!

Believe it or not, I got this little number at New York and Company.  It came up in a google search and I was really intrigued. It’s not a place I normally shop, but the price and style really had me want to give it a try.  I am clearly glad I did!

Now, to be completely honest, this is not going to work for everyone. It runs large.  I am wearing a small and it’s a tad generous on me.  I am usually a medium and sometimes a large in this style.  It runs very long.  I am wearing about 2″ heels and am 5’6.” So, to my petite followers, this may not be the piece for you. However, I also ordered this other style from New York and Company, and it fit smaller and shorter. This may work for a smaller/shorter person.

If you can’t tell, I am really exited to have this night out on the calendar!  I feel by sharing my excitement and already planning my outfit I am jinxing something {the way things have been going one of us will become really ill or something}.  We are going to think positive thoughts however, and look forward to ringing in 2019 in a fun, cute and sparkly way! Cheers!

As always, thank you so much for reading and make it a great day!

  • I love your style! But can I ask what size you are? I’m a terrible guessing and I am VERY picky on how things fit. Knowing if you are a 2 vs a 10 would help me a ton on whether or not something may or may not look good on me. Thanks!

    • Hi Allyson! I totally get it! I am a size 8 on bottom, (I carry my weight in my hips/thighs) and more like a 6 on top. I usually wear a medium. I am 5’6” if that helps too! Always let me know if you have specific fit questions. I’ll be honest with ya! Thanks so much for following!
