I can’t believe this week is Thanksgiving and the start of the holiday madness! I am excited and a little overwhelmed already. I am trying to stay as organized as possible so can I enjoy my favorite holiday. Always lots to do – but I love it all!
In hopes to generate more gift ideas as you’re shopping for others {or maybe yourself!}, I have created my favorite things I’ve shared over the year here on Not Your Plain Sarah Jane.
Favorite Homegoods
I know I’m not a home blogger, but I still like to sneak in a few of my favorite home items! I am really in love with my Breville Nespresso machine that makes a lattè better than many coffee shops. It’s saved me from many trips to grab a coffee – plus I love the sleek design. One of my favorite decor items {functional too!} are these agate coasters. The gold edge is stunning and the fact they are personalized makes them really special. This magnolia garland I shared as part of my Thanksgiving table post is beautiful. It has gold leaves mixed in and is pre-lit. It’s perfect for any table or fireplace mantle. Here are all my home favorites:
Accessories
You’ve probably caught on from following me that I really love accessories! I do! I think they make a complete styled look. From my everyday faux diamond studs or my favorite leopard clutch, it’s about the small details when you put together an outfit. Last year for Christmas I received my Ferragamo belt. It was a very special gift and something I will always have. I know it’s an investment, but it is reversible giving you two belts in one. I wear my initial necklace every day with the kids’ initials, it’s sentimental and I love how dainty it is. Remember these beautiful abalone earrings? They are a show stopper! Oh! and I can’t forget my oversized sunglasses! They are the BEST for the price! I could go on…but here are my favorite accessories.
Clothing Items/Shoes
Since the entire blog is really based around this, it’s tricky to narrow it down! My Anine Bing T-shirt was a splurge, but I’ve already worn it so many times. I love the edgy look of it, the faded black color, and the way it fits. This lace top is my go-to for going out – I am so in love with the sleeve detail. This simple teddy fleece is worn weekly and it’s a fab price right now – a cute gift for a friend or sister. If you’re in the market for a new black coat, THIS is amazing!! I get so many compliments on it and it feels like a dream. For all of my favorite sweaters, I recently laid them all out in this post. As far as footwear, I can’t believe how much I have reached for my black suede booties, and my platform sneakers are such a great take on a classic white tennis shoe.
Beauty
I recently did an entire beauty product post that has a lot of detail. Here I’ll leave a few favorites just for good measure. I can’t live without my illuminator, and this affordable eyeliner is so easy to use and stays on so well. I love everything about this purple shampoo to keep my hair a cool blonde and this hair serum is a lifesaver for processed hair. One of my favorite lip products that are ultra-moisturizing has the cutest gift package – for sure a great gift!
