Monday Montage

We had such a fun weekend taking the kids to our alma maters, Notre Dame, and Saint Marys College. It was the kids’ first football game and they loved it – it must run in the blood (which John has passed down). We weren’t expecting the kids to last the whole game, but they were so interested and loved to cheer at the top of their lungs for the Irish. It was really neat to see their awe and excitement of the campus and sights through their eyes.

Although it’s nearly mid-September and we are itching for all things fall, the weather is SO warm and really not warranting the cozy fall outfits we are all anticipating. Although I will say, it’s not too early to start adding some fall pieces to your wardrobe or rotating your closet to make your fall/winter items front and center. We all know this time of year the change in weather can come fast and it’s nice to be prepared.

  • This sleeveless jacket is a unique piece to transition into cooler temps. Wear it sleeveless on warmer days and as cooler temps approach layer long sleeves under. It’s runs large, I sized down to a small and it’s still roomy.
  • On a daily basis I check to see what is being purchased through the outfits I share on the Liketoknow.it app. It’s always intersting to see what is being searched for and actually purchased. Last week, overalls were a top seller based off of this photo from spring. While the exact pair I am wearing are no longer available, there are some full length options for next season. This pair with the distressed knees are cute and won’t break the bank!
  • Last week I ran out of regular coffee for the morning, but had esspresso pods for my morning caffine jolt. I took this opportunity to make Half Baked Harvest’s Iced Brown Sugar Latte. It was SO good. I now have the syrup in my fridge to whip up another (which could be a problem!). I can also see this being really good in a hot latte. I like to treat myself to something like this for an afternoon pick-me up. Usually I stick to plain black coffee to start me day. Recipe: Iced Brown Sugar Latte

As always, thank you so much for reading and make it a great Monday!
