I started this blog just over 3 years ago! I can’t believe the experiences it has given me and the people I have met through Not Your Plain Sarah Jane. I’m inching my way to 10,000 followers on Instagram which is amazing. I know it’s not a big deal to any of you reading this, but it’s kind of a ‘mark’ in the Instagram/influencer world and I’m so close!!
I’m preparing for my first “girls weekend” in forever to Chicago on Friday and I CANNOT WAIT! I’m meeting my college group of girlfriends for a 40th birthday bash (yikes we are getting so old!). I feel so out of practice packing and thinking of what I’ll need to bring for a weekend away; I haven’t had to dress for a GNO weekend in so long!
- I found a new pair of black jeans I’m in love with! Pictured above are these jeans. They are very trendy with a small flare and raw hem at the bottom. The flare is a great silhouette for a pear shape like me to balance out my hips. They are overall ultra-flattering and fit true to size.
- This white top (also pictured above) is a classic, easy top to throw on and look chic. It has button detail up the back that adds a little extra style element. One can not go wrong with this style of top. It runs generous (boxy) I sized down to a small. It’s perfect to tuck in or leave untucked and may even work with leggings.
- I’ve been shopping for a kitchen runner ever since we moved in. I didn’t want to spend a lot because it will get dirty fast. This is a performance rug (think an indoor/outdoor feel) that I may be able to hose down to wash. The price is right at around $60 and I love the vintage pattern and colors. It’s very neutral. I plan to pull out the grays in it. I have a carpet pad under to help hold it in place. The size pictured here is 2’6″x 7’6″. There are multiple sizes available, however.
- I shared this layered necklace week and you all loved it! I frequently get asked how to layer necklaces and this takes piece takes away all the thinking about what to pair together as it’s one necklace. It honestly could be mistaken for ‘real’ jewelry because it’s so delicate and sparkly. It definitely looks more expensive than the $59 it is!
As always thank you so much for reading and make it a great Monday!
