I don’t think I have worn anything in my hair besides a black ponytail holder in 15 years. This spring and summer that has changed! I have been so attracted to all of the fun hair accessories. Maybe it’s because my short hairstyle gets pretty mundane, or maybe it’s because these fun accessories are everywhere and just too cute to not incorporate to polish off any summer look. Even with a short bob, I have been able to pull off a little fun in my hair. These are my latest and greatest favorite hair additions.
The newest little hair accent I picked up were these adorable ponytail holders. I often wear my short hair pulled back in a slick low ponytail and this feminine little scarf-like bow adds a little bit of fun to something so plain and simple. The animal print brings a chic element and is the perfect way to add some interest to a simple outfit.
On a totally different note, I need to take a minute to say how amazing my color looks on week four! It’s not often one sees their hair like this {from the back} but I am so happy with how this color has held up. Check out my tips and products to keep my cool blonde tone here.
Another really fun option {which I was not sure I could pull off with short hair} is the top-knot headband. For some reason, I’m highly attracted to this particular style. I really dig this raffia headband I recently scored at Anthropologie! It will go with everything.
Lastly, I am loving the ever popular hair clips you can so easily pop in! I ordered mine from Amazon. They are so affordable and bring a lot of interest to any hair length. I can even share these cool clips with my daughter! The quality is really great for the price. I am impressed.
Hair accessories are certainly a hot item now. They are really an affordable trend to incorporate into your style, so I say, give ’em a try! I honestly did not think I could pull off a headband with shorter hair, but every once in the while it’s fun to change it up!
