Fall is my favorite season to dress for! I love the rich colors and layers. Part of completing any fall look is having the right shoe. I’ve had a lot of fun finding the right line-up and I think I have found a pretty good mix {although there’s always room for more shoes, right?!}. A great pair of flats and booties are essential to any fall wardrobe. Here’s the latest on fall shoe trends and some of my favorites for this season.

Bootie
Bootie, the most versatile and popular type of shoe for fall and winter. There are so many pairs and versions to search through. I have to admit, I was even overwhelmed as I searched for my perfect pair. I knew I wanted a nude/tan color as I think that color goes with everything { yes, even black!}. I decided these are the lucky winners! I can’t wait to style them with outfits this fall. The trend is definetley a western look and pointy toe. This boot has it all!
When I came across these at a local shop, Shoō in Madison, I couldn’t resist them! Sizes are getting low on stores that carry them online, so don’t wait if you are considering this calfskin pair.
I also love this style for an everyday bootie {they come in so many colors}. The tan I have had my eye on has been sold out in my size forever. Maybe it’s available in yours?
There are waterproof booties that are so practical for snowy winters and more sporty versions like this with a built-in wedge. Of course, Target has made knock-offs of some very popular styles that are great for every day. Choose a pair that really speak to you. All of them are great options.

Stylish Flat
The flats right now are so interesting and fun! What really stood out to me are the pointy toe options and the cutouts on the sides as I’ve been shopping for flats. I have fallen in love with this version I recently added to my closet. The leather is soft as butter and I love the way they look on! I can’t help but add in some leopard flats – such a fun way to incorporate animal print into your outfits.

Sneaker
As a busy mom {or anyone for that matter} we need an ultra-comfortable good looking shoe to pull out for casual looks. The sneaker hybrids are back again this year and I am so happy they are. I love the white rubber sole to add a sporty look to a leather shoe. I lived in the ones pictured to the left, but if you don’t want to spend that much, Target has an almost identical pair for much less. There are bootie versions or flat slip-on versions of these sporty sneakers. Both are so stylish and cool.

Mules
Mule style shoes are my favorite on these still warm days of fall. I reach for my leopard pair consistently right now. I purchased mine last fall and the exact pair are not available any longer but these are very similar and have the pointed toe which is so on-trend right now.
No, mules aren’t the most practical for the snowy weather, but start wearing them now to get your wear out them until the slushy weather hits. These are some of my favorite versions of this easy slip-on.
Snakeskin Print Shoes
I had to put snakeskin print in its own category. If you have shopped ANY style of shoe, it most likely comes in a snakeskin pattern. While I’m still on the hunt for the perfect pair of snakeskin shoes to add to my collection, I wanted to share some of my favorite snakeskin pattern shoes I’m seeing out there. I love the idea of adding this subtle print to almost any look.

Are you like me and love shopping for shoes? It’s one of my favorite wardrobe items to shop for! This fall there are so many different styles that are popular it’s fun to see and try on what’s available.
As always, thank you so much for reading and make it a great day!
